gerbil questions..

My gerbil was supposibly impregnanted 12 days ago, she has been seperated from her mate, and she is eating and drinking fine. Why isnt she starting to buldge? I am so dconfused, as well as skeptical. :eek:

are u positive Sage is pregnant? Because not everytime animals mate it works.....

thats just the thing I have no idea if she is or not. But they dont even try to breed during play time. I am soo confused. When do they start to show? Do you know?

Well, maybe you got lucky and she is not pregnant.

Ashley's gerbil was the same. She never got fat or anything. They didn't even know she was pregnant until the babies came! :eek: I don't think that gerbils are the same as a lot of other animals...I don't think that they show much during pregnancy..

gerbils rarly show when they are pregnant, all you can do is wait and see. I was so used to breeding gerbils that when I bred my piggies i was suprised how big missy got. they may get a little tubby, but will mostly just look normal:) sage will probily start to show much later in her pregnancy, but since they dont mate at playtime, she is mosty likely preggers :)

They do not show until a day or 2 before birth and then it may not be noticeable.
