Unknown Flower Question

I have this flower growing in my yard and I have no idea what it is. It is lovely but I'm curious. Anyone know??????

No idea but it is very pretty colour. :)

I don't know, but the cluster blossoms of that shade of blue, and the spring green of the foliage reminds me of plumbago. Plumbago has a flater 'face' though... Could they be related?

The blossoms look like little cups or bells. Off to research plumbago!

Those are Virginia Bluebells. I looked them up in my North American Wildlife book. There is a wildflower section in there, and they have a drawing of those in there.

I too looked them up. They are called Virginia Cowslip, Smooth Lungwort, Puccoon, Gentlemen's Breeches.....and Virginia Bluebells........and MERTENSIA VIRGINICA......The tuberous roots can be divided just prior to dormancy, otherwise, division must be delayed until growth begins again...

Thank you all so much! I may just divide them and see if I can grow some more. I know lungwort needs shade (and these are in shade) so when I do try and grow more I'll put them in shade.
