Edwina the Mouser
Last week I had houseguests. One morning Edwina asked to go out in the backyard for a little fresh air. I put on her harness and leash and let her into the yard. My friend was watching her through the door. "My, she sure moves fast!" my friend said as Edwina dashed across the lawn. Next thing I hear is an "EKKKK!!!" from my friend. There is Edwina, asking to come back in the house. In her mouth is a tiny mouse*.
I went out another door and instructed Edwina to drop it. She did and the mouse ran away -- to live another day.
Edwina has been sooooo proud of herself! Let the squirrels shiver in fear, let the birds beware....Edwina caught a mouse!
*according to Edwina it was a 10 lb rat...

Hi Edwina,
Tigris always tells me that he could easily get many mousies if he only was allowed outside.
But me: I had a mousie when I was a child with my furmom Absolutely (yes that was her name). She brought it from the attic for me to catch.
So I send you the best greetings among us mousers.
Filou
P.S. My mousie had only 5 lb but I was a kitten then:p

See Edwina, you do have talent! It might not be in the furniture dept. or the detective dept. but you could certainly make a good living in the mouse catching dept!! :D
Tubby says he's so proud of you. He, too, used to like to catch those durn micies. Here he is keeping a close eye on one that had enough nerve to come out of the heat registers at my mom's house.

Wow!! I sure am proud of you! :) What a surprising little girl, she had use believing she was pals with the mice and squirels in the yard...
She'll never cease to amaze me. ;)

Wow! You go girl!!! It looked like a rat to me, too.
Respectfully,
Cassy

Wowza, you sure are something Edwina; both an elegant lady and a fearsome hunter!
-
Oh my, Edwina you are the living embodiment of an ideal female - elegant, beautiful, interesting and yet, tough and very determined.
Juni believes that it was a 10lb rat. She likes to catch bats (from the window sill), which in Romanian are flying mice.
