CAUTION heat registers

Never in a million years would I ever think of anything like this happening but it did. Over the weekend one of my dogs, Nanook was laying on the floor no big deal, he got up about a 1/2 hour later and the heat duct register cover was stuck to his tags on his collar! Good thing that register was not screwed down & good thing I was home. I went and unscrewed all registers in the house & I will look around at the hardware store to see if they make registers w/ tiny holes. I sometimes take the collars off the dogs when I am not home but I ussually leave them on just in case an emergancy happens & they need to get out asap or someone else needs to let them out, but now I will ALWAYS take them off when I am not there until I get new covers.

I would have never thought of that happing! All my vents are not screwed in. Glad your dog didn't get hurt and you were home. Freak thing.

Isn't it strange what freak things can happen? My sister-in-law has a german shepherd who likes to stick her head in the dishwasher (to lick the dishes :eek: ) while she is loading it. Apparently the dog's collar got caught on the rack and when she realized she had been seen being naughty she tried to run away and she started taking the rack with her. ***lots of clank, clank, clank going on*** :rolleyes:
