Just recently, Marigold has really opened up to letting me rub her belly. Am I correct in thinking that it is a trust thing?? Before, she had to be really really relaxed...but now if she is sitting in my lap, pretty much right away she will beg me to rub her belly. She's so snuggly!! Does anybody else's kitty let them rub their belly??
Believe it or not, I have never had a cat that would not let me rub their belly. I just love to rub bellies, so it is kind of a criteria for getting into this house.:D

Storm and Sunny love to have their bellies rubbed. My parents cat never liked her belly rubbed. They couldn't even brush her belly. I always thought that males liked it more than females but I could be wrong.

Kylie sometimes tolerates her belly being rubbed. But usually she tries to bite me.:rolleyes:
Very often Ebby will lie on her side as I stroke her (when I am allowed to that is :D) then roll over so I can rub her belly, she loves it.

I have two males and two different responses. Trevor enjoys it, for a while at least. Andy won't tolerate it even for a second. :rolleyes:
Cookie doesn't mind having her belly touched. the others don't like it though, and they will kick you with their hind legs when you do it.
Tictac LOVES to have his belly rubbed! If I come into the room he'll roll over on his back and make eyes at me until I rub his belly. I have a whole bunch of purrno pictures of him on his back. :p (I haven't posted pics because they are TOO HUGE.)They weigh about 1.2 megs each.
Tigris loves to get his belly rubbed. Filou says most of the time: This is my belly, don't touch it:)
Rocky lets me rub hi sbelly on occasions, when he isn't in one o fhis frisky moods...if he is relaxed he is more likely to let me without wanting to play with my hand..
