Lovely, Lovable Lucky!

Dearest Lucky, you are lovely and lovable indeed! What a gorgeous, handsome American Shorthair guy you are! You are absolutely stunning in that great photo, and thank you for sharing it with us. That white and Tabby fur is so pretty and fluffy and looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have, with those lovely big yellow-green eyes and those cute beauty marks on and by your nose. I wish I could reach through the screen and down over to Illinois to pet you, rub your tummy and face and head, and hear you purr! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson and Mom-Purrrson will pet you and rub you and make you purr for me :).

What an amazing story you have to tell! You, just a kitten, and your Kitty-Mom and Sibling were strays living in the roof of the house across the street from your Purrrsons-to-be. Every day they would go there and bring food and water for you all. One day they were all gone except for you. At first you wouldn't come out, but finally the neighbor got you down and brought you over to your brand-new Purrrmanent, Furrrever home and family! That was four years ago, and now you're 18 pounds of lovable, huggable fur! You were named to celebrate your luck at having come to a home full of cat-lovers! I hope and pray that your Kitty-Mom and Sibling have also found wonderful homes.

You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You love to be groomed and rubbed, and you even roll over for a tum-rub. You also love to sit in the laundry basket! You are a real Food Cat (my Tinker can relate!), often sitting by the food bowl and acting as though you're starving to death, even after you've just eaten. In summer you like to sit outside and watch the birds and squirrels. In winter you watch them from the window. You also love, LOVE, LOOOOVE catnip! You and your dear Purrrsons all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Lucky, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! What handsome, stately, most fetching feline you are, Lucky! And how purrfectly named you are, Lucky, having been rescued from that roof and adopted by one fabulous furever family; lucky indeed!:cool:

We can only imagine why your fur mom left you on that roof to fend for your tiny self after caring so lovingly for you and your littermates; pawing at your family to be's door, hoping for some food. Thankfully that kind neighbor helped get you down safely and um, somehow knew just where to bring you!:D;) And, as they say, the rest if happy history!
