After 10 years
Finally, after 10 years of not having a Christmas tree (you know, cats...), I'm giving it a try. Different place, hopefully different kitty attitude.
The tree, a 3-footer, had been stored in a box and had a slightly musky smell to it. I sprayed it with a fir tree- scented spray. It smells great!
I put the tree on top of my desk. Olive got caught nibbling on it, but it was at dinner time, when they all get antsy.
So far, so good. I'm really excited about it.

Wow, and up so early! You are brave!
-
It's a bit early, but I got so excited about it, I couldn't wait!;)
-
It's gorgeous, and so many cute decorations around it. :) Of course Olive had to check it out, so be surprised if you hear CRASH BANG during the night.
Have fun! :D
-
That's really nice, Heidi! And I like all the cat decorations, too!

The tree is still standing. I did tie it to the wall to hopefully not hearing the CRASH BANG in the night.
-
Good idea, tying it to the wall!

Clover decided that he has a midlife crisis. He jumped on the desk and started eating the needles of the tree.
I closed up the desk and covered it with some fabric. Now he's sitting in front of it, yowling and trying to find a way to get back up there. I'm sure he will.
This was Clover 10 years ago. He was the destructor in chief ( I guess he's defending his title :D), with some help from Monroe. They both were babies back then.

Ha ha, Clover will surely make an effort to get to it again.
What fun Clove and Monroe had ten years ago - love the pictures! :D
