I'm going to open up a day early because the power is out for some, including Karen. It's warm in here, though! I'm putting water on for tea and heating up soup for lunch. Come one, come all!

I'll have some tea, and some soup, too if it's a veggie version!
Thank you, Elyse!

I would like boiling hot black tea, please! This morning, it was 20 degrees, and it has not warmed up much.
I'm on my break from work and guess what, the power's out. Except for emergency lighting and power- we've got nothing. Thank goodness it's a bright, sunny day outside!
Power's still out in Vermont, I am now posting from New Hampshire, at my niece's place.
Glad you are in a nice, safe, warm place, Karen!

Been home now for 6 days, power has stayed on, thankfully.
Just made some me-safe granola - anyone want some? Oats, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, honey, sunflower seeds, dried currants and olive oil, anyone want some?
Every granola mix at the local healthy food store had either canola oil, coconut, tree nuts, cranberries or some combination of that in them - every single one! So got all the stuff to make my own - so there!
In the house right now is a pretty little Copperscotch chick, Kermit found it, its poor toes frozen, at a friend's place when he was there to pick up hay today. Every once in a while it will start peeping - it got some granola!
Sounds tasty! I'll try some. Thanks, Karen!
Glad you are back home and the power has stayed on. I hope the good conditions continue.
Welcome to the little chick! Now you are safe and warm and have granola to eat!
