Congratulations on being honoured as Cat of the Day, Mheetu!

What a handsome tuxedo boy you are! Your coat is beautiful and so is your green eyes, and look at that huge tail in the first picture… I wonder what you had your eyes on.

I’m glad you didn’t have to sit for long in the shelter, luckily your mom went for black cat. Sadly, not many do.

Now, you have been together for two years, and you are learning tricks, like shaking paws and then you get a treat. :) But you also want to jump on the desk, chew on paper and knock everything down. :D You must be fun to have around, and I can tell you loved very much.

My cat's name is Mheetu, he's a tuxedo that happens to be a Domestic Short Hair cat. I got him from the animal humane society and he's my first pet. I got him because he was the closest cat that they had to a black cat. I got him when he was three months old, so just a kitten.

I am teaching him how to sit, stand, and shake hands using the dental treats that I got for him at Petsense. He can be independent, but he's quite the affectionate type. He mainly sleeps around and wants to get on my desk, knocking everything down. He loves to eat paper, hates catnip and loves to sit in my lap.
