According to to 99% Irish husband, if there's not potato involved, it ain't Irish food! Year one of our marriage, he looked at me and said, "Did you ever hear of the 'Irish Cabbage Famine?' The 'Corned Beef famine?' I think not! It was the Potato Famine that nearly wiped out the Irish, nothing else!"
Shall we make a massive potato salad to go with the corned beef? Anyone wanna help wash and peel potatoes?
I am wearing a green top, funny enough - with snowmen on it!
I'll help Karen. I'm wearing green pants! A Baileys over ice for me please.
Must be a slow news day today...
Saw a headline stating archeologists in Germany have found the world's oldest pretzel.
I think I'll pass? I will, however join you in some corned beef. I could make some Reubens with the leftovers.
Balderdash, I say to you!!!!!
I have found the World's Oldest Pretzel in the seat cushion of my old recliner.
My brother just bought a new car - I asked him if he dug out the old french fries from under the seats of his trade in....I truly believe that anyone with kids and a car has The World's Oldest (Fill in the Blank) somewhere in the upholstery. Have you ever seen a Cheerio in a car from the last time Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France?

A Rueben sounds great!
DONE!
I'll supply the 'kraut?
It's unusually warm for March in Chicago- 50 degrees! Could I have a McDaid's Football Special, please?

Tomorrow is Pi Day (3/14/15 - 3.1415), my choice would be apple pie but what would anyone else like?
A friend of mine (plays next to me in handbell choir) is getting married tomorrow, and as they are both self-described nerds, there will be 4 kinds of pies (2 chocolate) as well as wedding cake at the reception!
Perhaps a good spinach and mushroom quiche? That is kinda pie-like, right?
And then, as we were just discussing it - a nice indulgent chocolate pudding pie - graham cracker crust, sprinkle the bottom with chocolate chips, slice a banana over that, then fill with chocolate pudding and refrigerate - yum!
LOL, I just noticed that the "Thursday" in the title is misspelled.
(I am not going to change it.....)
PIE for EVERYONE!!
Quiche is a 'pie'.....It's 3.14 round......
-----
Sauerkraut for everyone too....
Football Special!!! (it's almost baseball season, but I am willing to overlook that fact?;))
DONE!
I had a confusing weekend.
My final for college was Sunday, so I've had three days of no homework, no reading to do.
Whatever shall I do with my time?
