Stunning Zooey!

We know your name means "life" as it is based on an ancient Greek name with a slightly different spelling. How appropriate, as you survive that terrifying ride under the hood of the car for 22 miles, and emerged frightened but unharmed! We are glad you made it, as your new mom obviously was in dire need of a little black kitten to help liven up her home after the losses they had faced. It is great your brother Farley accepted you, and I am sure taught you lots of what you needed to learn to become a loved diva kitty! And you even inspired them to rescue another kitten - which in truth rescued them all from exhaustion! But you are all grown up now, and just as pretty as can eb! Congratulations, lovely Zooey - you are Cat of the Day for the whole world to celebrate!

P.S. and we'd like to take this moment to remind everyone - thump your hood on cold mornings, you never know who might be sheltering in your engine compartment!

You are quite a remarkable Cat Zooey and if that is Farley the terrific then he is also remarkable looking nowhere near 15 years old.

Dearest Zooey, what an adorable kitten you were, and what a stunning grown-up lady you are now! You are so pretty with that sleek black fur and the lovely yellow eyes. Thank you for sharing the lovely photos with us. So nice to see you and Farley both relaxing in the last one. I wish I could reach through the screen over to Charlotte, NC to pet you, and Farley and Belle too! I can't, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you all for me :).

And what an amazing story you have to tell! You survived a 22-mile car ride under the hood, and thank God for that, as so many cats would not be able to. And how great that was that you were rescued by Teresa, the car's owner, who had heard you under the hood. She gave you to her friend your Purrrmanent Meowmie, who took you to her vet and then HOME. You quickly became queen of the house, helping to bring comfort and delight to your new family who had lost 5 of their 6 cats over the previous two years.

15-year-old Farley, the remaining cat, became very fond of you, fortunately! You wore him and your new Purrrsons out with your kitteny energy, so your Purrrsons went to the local shelter (and thanks to them for going the adoption route) and adopted young tortie Belle to be your sister. Now you are the Diva Cat, beloved as the royalty you are. What a wonderful love-filled home you all share!

Oh*my*goodness*...what a painfully precious baby you were, what a beautiful ebony young lady you've grown up to be! And how grateful we are that you DID grow up to be that beautiful girl, for you certainly had a most frightening, potentially life threatening start at life! Thank goodness Teresa heard you, found you under her car hood before any harm could come to you! Phew! But your good luck didn't end there, oh no! Once the hand off was made, hehe, there would be nothing but happy, carefree, love filled days in your future!:) I cannot imagine the depth of grief your family was experiencing, having lost 5 of their 6 kitty furkids in such a short time.:( So, it comes as no surprise that your guardian angel would intervene that fateful day, leading you to your mommy and she to you! Sounds like another case of mutual rescue to me! And how wonderful that you and big brother Farley bonded right off the bat! And now with the addition of sweet baby Belle, your family is whole once again! You certainly hit the forever home jackpot, Zooey, and just as blessed is your family, having a sweet and loving best friend and loving companion in you!
