I had a hair dryer similar to #5.
The "taxable" newspaper is actually how newspapers are printed - all on one long roll of paper, usually on a web offset press, that then goes through a folder and trimmer - that is why the bags are all evenly cut, at least in each section!
The equine gas mask was part of World War 1.
It no longer exists because gas warfare was banned after the horrors of the trenches, and horses are no longer used in the military to the extent that they were in the First World War. Mechanized warfare has replaced horse cavalry in most (not all) situations.
The end of horses as prime movers and the end of gas warfare eliminated the need for the device.
The motorcycle was rebooted for Men in Black III!
