How close do you have to be? Do you do it when they are sleeping? I tried it and all my cats did were lick their noses and run away...no paw twitching whatsoever.
I use that method to pill my cats. I shove the pill in their mouth, blow in their nose and gently rub their throat. Works everytime like a charm!!! :D I never did see if their paws twitched though. I guess I was just thankful I got them to swallow the damn pill.
The only time bastet's paws twitch is when she is thinking something naughty.
I tried it and they didn't twitch she just growled at me.

The only cat I have problems pilling is Casey. But that method works!! I still have another week to go of giving him Interferon and Orbax. I DO hope this herpes virus subsides. He sounds and looks awful. Although he does look and sound better than he did in the beginning.
