Hello Pet Talk, Jack Sparrow here, AKA THE CAPTAIN. My foster meowmie thought I should start my own thread that can be a little more cheerful than the other thread about me was originally. I started my own blog today. If you want, you can see it here: http://iamcaptainjack.blogspot.com/ Also, foster meowmie took a bunch more pictures of me since I'm so handsome. We went upstairs for some playtime in the bathroom since I'm still in quarantine and can't play with the other kitties here yet. I was really scared at first, I found a ledge to hide under and I wasn't coming out! No, not even for food!

Then, I heard a whiney noise from the other side of the door. I got curious enough to forget how scared I was.
"What is that over there...?"

Foster meowmie said to me "This is either a very good idea, or a very bad idea." and opened the door. Guess what came in?! A DOG!
"Hi Doggy, are you my friend?"

The doggy decided we could be friends. He's way less scary than foster meowmie too.

He got down to my level and we both did a thorough sniff-over of each other.

Then I discovered that doggies have TOYS ATTACHED TO THEIR BUTTS!! This is great! I got to pounce it and chew it and groom it. Best. Toy. Ever.

Captain Jack, you are absolutely, positively adorable! I am so glad Jasper helped you to come out of your hidey place :D ! I love the picture of you doing a sniff-over of one another, that one is so very sweet! Cute alert for you, little one! :love:

Oh, Cap'n Jack, you tell Jasper I said he was being a very, very good boy. You know, not every doggy would be as willing to let you attack its built-in toy like that! Give him a purr and a nose bump from me, okay?

Oh my what a way to start my morning!!!! Hello Jack! I am glad Jasper came to visit and help you get over the scaredies. Sniffing noses is a great way to meet some new friends. Glad you ate. And a bath? Super! Now you must be ready for a nap, that was a busy time, start to finish.
Wonderful photos. I also loved the nose to nose shot! Congrats on training Jasper so well -- NONE of mine could be that close to cat food and "leave it." Whew! I loved the "built in toy" caption, and can wall imagine what happened, lol.

Jack is just so darn cute. I do not think you will have any problem finding him a home, that's for sure!! I might just miss out on another Captain Jack. ;)

I dunno what it is about Jasper, but cats just seem to know that he's a "safe" doggy. I once heard a cat crying outside of my old apartment, and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to take Jasper downstairs to investigate. Right around the time I realized what a silly idea that was, the stray came out and flung himself at Jasper with headbumpies and a purr. He's go great kitten mama, and he's even willing to lick them clean when they're at the poop-all-over-themselves stage. YUCK!
Jack's eye looked pretty good this morning. I've been cleaning pus out of it pretty regularly, but there was no pus yet today, so that's good news!
