Sunny The Macaw

I just saw Today's Pet "Sunny The Macaw" and I love that bird! I actually know Sunny and her parents. She is something else! The things that come out of her mouth, er, beak... are incredible. The more I am around Sunny the more amazing she becomes. I've heard her say things that I can't believe a bird would understand, let alone say out loud. She does love to "Quack! Quack" now. Especially after she found out how much it made me laugh. She is an entertainer! She listens intently to everything people say and then uses the information at later dates. I never knew birds could be so cognitive and able to relate their understanding so well. Sunny is often reffered to as "The Philosopher", her sage words often sum situations up in very few syllables and a lot of humor.:)

This has to be the most entertaining POTD story! What a clever bird you are Sunny. You are such a pretty bird. I would love to have a conversation with you some day.

Edited to say: I'm a nurse and I was just wondering, have you ever visited patients in the hospital? I bet you'd have hospitalized children giggling like crazy, and your bright colors would definitely lift the spirits of older adults too. I'm sure you are very busy with your people's business, though.

Hello Sunny, it's a pleasure to meet you. I do believe you are the most beautiful and smartest bird I've ever seen on POTD. Your colors are just stunning and no doubt your vocabulary is wide ranging. I think it's great that you travel with your humans and go to many different places. I enjoyed reading about you and it sounds as if you have a wonderful life with loving humans. Thank you so much for the much needed laugh this morning. After a day in 102 degree heat with no ac yesterday, I had a bad night and was super cranky today. That is actually a great idea. Sunny melts when she sees kids. I wouldn't want them to pet her though. Doubt if she would bite a child but in a hospital setting she mught be nervous. She would sure love to entertain them!!!!

I wish you could all have a conversation with Sunny. No telling what she would come up with. Her favotite subject is herself. She was sitting on her playstand a few minutes ago holding up one foot and saying Ow. Ow! I wasn't too concerned because she kept changing feet. I finally told her I didn't think she knew what ow meant. When she realized the pity party wasn't going to work she turned her back and I heard her console herself with " I love Sunny" in a small voice.

What a gorgeous bird! I love all her beautiful colors. Congratulations on being Pet of the Day today!

Awww, Sunny is so excellent it is almost difficult to comprehend!!! I am overjoyed to read all about this magnificent parrot, and see her beautiful self. Nice to see ya'll are livin' the life and totally deserve all the blessings ya got :D Kinda feel like I know Sunny now, I would love her to tune me in or at least insult me one or twice :D.
