pug eye injury
My pug puppy, bela, ran into the corner of a wall while playing. She started crying and when I ran to check on her, her eye had what looks like a blood clot on it. I have a vet appointment for her tomorrow evening for shots. Will she be ok until then?

I'd call the vet tomorrow morning and ask if they can see her just in case. Pugglies are prone to eye injuries because of the shape of their faces, and it's nothing you want to take a chance with.

Caleena, first of all, welcome to Pet Talk! We hope you will stick around so we can get to know Bela better (I have a Bella too, but she is a standard poodle). I work for an ophthalmologist and I just wanted to say that any trauma to the eye has the potential to be sight threatening. If would definitely call your veterinarian this morning and see if she could be squeezed in earlier. If we received a call like this at my office for a human, :) we would fit them in right away. Good luck to little Bela! Please do let us know how she is and we'd love to see a picture of your baby! I just ADORE little puggilys! :)
