Cats are so beautiful...

Sometimes I look at my cats when they are sitting with me and think to myself what beautiful creatures they are.

Something I noticed with Mama cat, especially, is that her coat colors seem to change. I always thought she was basically black and white striped. I was brushing her over the weekend and when I was done I realized that she has quite a bit of brownish color running through her coat. Maybe it was just the way the light was shining on us.

Have you ever noticed that your cats coloring seems to change?

Maybe I am just a little nutty... :p

I fully agree with you- sometimes I look at them as if it was the first time and marvel at how beautiful they are.
And does their fur change? Not so much in Kiri who is a tabby, well a light tabby but a tabby.
But with Orion who is a blue Abyssinian it changes: he can look caramel, or steel gray, and his belly can look apricot or even light salmon pink ;)

You are so right - cats are not only amazing, they are mystically beautiful. I have also noticed that the more confident a cat is, the more he/she exudes that beauty.

Evie's coat changes dramatically with light - in the sunshine she literally sparkles:D. Her eyes change as well. I am mesmerized by these changes and love taking photos of her in different lights.

When I see the photos of My Found Cat Pile Ups from years ago, I cannot help but think how truly beautiful Our Cats are especially when you have a mix of breeds and colors!!!:love::love::love:
I pay that one day My New Found Cats will pile up like that too:love::love::love:

I am glad someone brought this up.. I look at mine and am always in awe of their beauty AND how smart they are. I keep telling them I am SO PROUD of them, I am one proud Mama. Samantha with her beaufiful black, silky fur, Giz with her long beautiful "coat of many colors", Amy with her odd tabby markings and Caramella with her mostly white fur and the splashes of orange and grey...especially that heart shape in her fur on her side.. I just look at them in awe.

Very well said, Kirsten! Since Groucho is a black and white kitty I really don't see any change in his colors. Sometimes I like to just sit back and watch him as he plays, runs through the place, watches tv with me, while he sleeps. There's so much pure and natural beauty in a cat! It's also amazing how so much love can come in such a small package :love:

When I pet Cassie I see areas of brownish fur. I believe her coat is changing as she gets older. I am just happy she allowed me into her life!

In fact - and I may be really weird lol - I'm often thinking that cat dna must be a marvelous substance to create such wonderful, perfect creatures. And I would really love to know what's going on in their heads! Sometimes I'm holding Lily's little kitty head in my hands - she's extraordinary smart - and I wonder what's going on in there: an entire universe of feline thoughts and emotions... Ehm, yes, you might say I'm obsessed with cats. lol ;-)

Well, first of all, anybody that loves a cat cannot be weird.

I do wonder what they are thinking sometimes too. I'm obsessed too. It's a wonderful thing!
