Oh wow...I had no heard that yet. What an awesome man he was! :'(
I heard he was 82...he was so long-lived, I thought he was older than that.
A true icon - rest in peace, sir.
I am sadden to hear about his death. He fought hard, but he also learned to enjoy life thru his hard times. He will be missed.
This was such a surprise. I can remember rushing home from school with my friends so we'd be home in time for "Bandstand". The original is STILL the greatest!

Oh yeah - I sure relate to that. The best of Bandstand is when it was broadcast from Philly and in black and white, back in the late 50's. Dick Clark was my first crush on an "older man" (in his late 20's). :love: :eek:Quote:

I can still do some of those dances today such as The Twist, Mash Potatoes, the Jerk etc. I don't think many of you remember those dances but I had a ball doing them. So sorry to see you go Dick, I will always have very fond memories of you, RIP.
