We are pretty sure this cat is blind or has limited sight.
He was abandoned in a cat carrier and left in the street. He ended up in the pound so I’m looking for a rescue group to take him. He needs a permanent home with someone who understands the special needs of a blind cat.

They are in North Carolina. Can you pass that on? I tried calling Melissa's number (from the first entry of this thread) but couldn't get through. I don't know if it's a telephone glitch on my end (Alaska) or operator error (me). :D

The kitty is safe! He is going to a foster home on Sunday, then after he's checked out by the vet he'll go to his permanent home!!!!!

Lizzie, I just e-mailed Monica, the contact person for the black stray with the URI. And she just replied: "He is SAFE!! Going to foster today.. He's doing great and he is so gentle and sweet.. " He still needs a permanent home.
