Socks, the barn cat!
As some of you may know I volunteer at a theropuetic horseback riding program. Not only do they have horses there, but they have a cat too! Socks! :)

Hey Socks, you are aptly named, and I am sure you are an excellent mouser and companion to the horses as well! Every barn that stores hay or grain needs a cat, for rodent deterrent if nothing else!

Wow Socks you certainly are a Great Cat!!
And you have a life that many Cats would envy, living in a barn with sun all around and being free to explore Mother Nature while getting a safe place to stay while getting regular meals.
Our Awesome Angels would love to visit you one summer day Socks , and share the love that you have and see your Horse Friends too.

Hi, Socks! How nice you look in your grey and white tuxedo! I love your white feeties :D
-
Hey Socks, looks like you're a big help with the horses and way handsome too.

Socks, in that first photo, your eyes look exactly like my Mordred's! But Mordred's not a barn cat; at the moment, he's curled up, sound asleep, in a cuddler bed with a heating pad underneath. All mice are safe from him!:D

Thanks guys! :D
Funny story. The first day I started working, I saw Socks and he was so sweet with his meowing and rubbing up against anyone. Seemed like he couldn't hurt a fly! Later the night, just as I was about to leave, I saw Socks carrying a dead mouse through the parking lot. I was like "Oh my god, Socks!" I was so shocked, I wasn't expecting that at all! I guess it just had to take some getting use to. :p
