I just had to start a thread for such a stunningly beautiful bird. Your blue plumage dazzled me from the screen this morning, Iris! I really enjoyed reading about how you are such a polite girl, always saying 'Good morning' to your human, and only going to bed when told it's time.

I always post using the hot pink color, however in honour of your vivid blue feathers I have made an exception. ;) Quite a beauty you are, gorgeous Iris, and what a bond you have with your devoted guardian. Hyacinth macaws are just the most beautiful and wonderful of birds. What a privilege to have one for your own best friend! Years ago I used to visit the Hyacinths at the San Diego zoo -- their gentle nature and intelligence were so obvious. Just lovely.
Iris, your stunning color caught my eye right away. Once I started reading about you, I learned that your magnificence is not just in you color, but in your personality as well! Your owner's love for you come shining though. Seems you return that love daily, in so many ways.

Hello, Iris. You are an absolutely GORGEOUS lady!! Hyacinth Macaws are so beautiful, and you are exceptionally so! How appropriate you should be Pet of the Day today, as I just saw the movie "Rio" over the weekend, and it's about a blue macaw (not a Hyacinth, however) from Minnesota!! Sounds like a wonderful life you have there! Congrats on being Pet of the Day!! :cool:
