Puppy Hugs

Every time I lay with Mz Logan and pet, kiss, love her, she'll nudge me if I stop. But then, she'll put her front paw on my petting arm or on my chest or head to tell me not to stop.

I can just hear some behaviorist say she's being alpha but I'd like to think she's giving me a hug and showing her love. It always gets me through life's toughest moments.

Every time Cass is sleepy and in a cuddly mood, she does something similar to reach out and touch me. Then sometimes she will lay her head in my lap, on my chest, etc. They love the contact, this I can tell.

She's the only dog we've had that is cuddly enough to do it. There's love there, so I'd call it a "hug" :).

My dogs do that too!:)

Sam always hits me with his paw when he wants attention or wants on my lap. Some would say it's alpha, but I don't care. I think he's being affectionate with me and I love it.
