Pitzi broke her leg
Remember Pitzi? She is one of my yard cats, I found her when she was just a few weeks old near the building I work in.
She's not about 4 months old, and yesterday she broke her leg. I called the vet to ask if he can check her and he came although his clinic isn''t open on saturdays.
She is now after a surgery, he put a pin in her leg to put the bone back in place, and we will have to bring her back in a month to remove it. He also spayed her as she was already under anaesthesia... he said she is a real fighter and she recovered very well and acts lke nothing has happen.
we will come to pick her up later today and we should leave her in her carrier for a few days and then let her walk in a room to see how she's doing. He saud that she might be Ok in a few days and will be able to go back outside to her friends... keep your fingers crossed!

All finger, paws and toes crossed here.

Oh poor little Pitzi! :( I hope her leg heals up fine and quick - it probably will at such a young age. A good thing she could get spayed at the same time! :) You're a great cat mum - thanks for helping all of them - and Good luck! ;)
Get well soon Pitzi! :)

Aww poor thing! How did she break it? I'm sure she will heal quickly and be back to normal before you know it!
Paws crossed for a speedy recovery!

I have no idea how she broke it... she was fine friday night, and broken saturday morning... I guess she was climbing something and fell... she lives out side in the yard so I can't keep an eye of her all the time.
We will pick her up from the vet later today and keep her in the house for the next couple of days, just to make sure she's ok.. the vet said she is...

When I lived in the country and my cats were allowed outside, Boo (RIP) came home one night with a broken pelvis. I have no idea how it happened, it was so scary. It healed really fast, he was young and in good shape. I was surprised how fast it healed.
I still can't figure out how it happened, he had been gone for 5 days (I had placed lost cat ads in the paper), and he had to climb up the stairs to out deck to get in - where I found him in the morning.
I hope Pitzi heals fast too.

Oh, poor Pitzi!!!! Please give her a get-well-hug from Luna and me, okay?
We're wishing her a speedy recovery and hope that she can play again with her friends very soon. Efrat, it's so good that you're having an eye on these back yard cats and that you were there to help her! :)

Poor little Pitzi. It's so good of you to take her in and make sure she gets mended properly. I hope she heals quickly and your gang of four look after her :)

pitzi is home now..
we took her back from the vet last night, she feels good, you can't even tell that she has been through 2 surgeries! she acts like nothing has changed , beside the fact that she still can't put pressure on the leg.
She is now locked in one rom in the house (with premium food... ) and she was a good girl - she knew what the litter box is made for, and she was quiet in the night... I didn''t have time to see her this morning, I'll see her when I go home for lunch.
She is a real fighter - the vet loved her, and he was sweet to only take half price of everything so it wasn;t too expensive.
-
Good luck with poor Pitzi !!! I hope that surgery did whatever was necessary , so Pitzi will be back to normal in no time :)
Give her a hug from Maya and Inka !!:p

Very nice of the vet to take just half the cost! Yeah Pitzi, keep on mending, and loving that premium food..:D
