Update on Bart...

Bart was weighed and blood was drawn. His thyroid went from an ESTIMATED (could've been higher, but they couldn't get a definite reading) 34 down to 13.8, which is good. HOWEVER...the vet wants it down to 2. So he's got a long way to go. His blood pressure is still very high so she's got him on Altelnol twice a day. He's gained an ounce or two. Next visit they're going to check his liver and kidney functions. She also upped his Methamizole from .5 ml 2x a day to 1.0!! She's really concerned about it.

The old guy is spunky at times. Absolutely ADORE him!!!

Take care of that boy!! Sound like it's complicated but my mind just can't grasp a hold to things these days! Keep him well and happy and love him till he is spolied rotten.

At least Bart is seeing a Vet now, and with the advances in Vet technology, we know that Bart will be healthy very soon.

Oh gosh, Donna, if not for you, poor Bart would be sooo sick...he might not even be here any more.

How wonderful that he is improving somewhat...I wonder how the poor guy got so sick to begin with.

Donna, have you been in touch with Bart's former owner? I hope things are going a bit better for him. I'm sure he would be happy to know that Bart is doing better. :)

Bart is doing well. He takes his meds well. He's eating well. Taking his meds like a troopers.

I texted Will with a picture and update on Bart but have heard nothing from him. I guess he's cut all ties with him. It must hurt him too much. I just want to reassure him that Bart is in good hands and is doing okay.
