Came home tonight to find Kia with swollen eyes. Seems to be an allergic reaction, but I'm not sure what. Her eyes were fine before I left for work and she's crated when I'm gone.
I gave her some benadryl. She's eating, drinking, and doing her buisness just fine.
Prayers for my old lady. :love:

Awww, my sympathy, Kia, I know how annoying that is!
I hope it's nothing serious and that the Benadryl will do the trick. Prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

If you have any Teramyacin in the house, put a little of the ointment in each eye. That should help. If you don't have any handy, I think a trip to the vet is in order.

The benadryl seems to be working. Her eyes are slightly puffy but not nearly the angry swollen red they were last night. Thanks for all the healing vibes and prayers! :love:

Warm water on a paper towel or face cloth, just hold it for a few seconds, will help soothe those.

She gets inflammation like that from mosquitos but there is nary a one in the house. Her eyes look a lot better but she's still rubbing her head against my legs and the floor so she's still a little itchy.
