Teaching puppy By Mimmy

I am new to this.My neighbour(We have an open gate between us so our dogs can live in one anothers homes)has Jasper2year old male Foxyand i have have Mimi 7 year female Lhasa .
They have a new baby Foxy Oliver who is learning fast from the older dogs.
Jasper has become a real adult disciplining Oliverwith his paw,and Mimi has become very motherly attempting to pick him up and letting him suckle (sort of ).
Both Jasper and Mimi are dexsexed of course.Is this the normal behavour between dogs
