Esther, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right? I have a furkid who tricked me in the same way except a few months ago she shocked me by sitting in my lap and she stayed there for half an hour! What a smart girl you were to pretend you're a lap cat when you had a chance at finding a new forever home :D I'm happy it all worked out. I never knew a cat who plays with large dog toys! Maybe you can teach the little "terror" to play, too, and you can all be upstairs/downstairs kitties.
