Patches! Update

Here's an update on Patches! Not sure if some of you remember him. When I was visiting my dad in August he adopted an Aussie pup! I'm sure you'll recognize his cute face :)

Anyways, he's doing very well on training. Seems to be fully potty trained and knows several commands. He went to my dad's work the other day, my dad is the director of a nursing home/assisted living facility, because my dad plans on having him as a kind of therapy dog (without the full certification and training). He was a VERY good boy and the residents loved him!

Not very good pictures (my dad's photographically challenged lol), but I just can't believe how big he is! He is almost 5 months old. In the newer pics he is certainly starting to look like his momma.

Oh my goodness, Patches is beautiful! I imagine the assisted living residents would be thrilled to receive him as a visitor -- I know I would! Please give him a big hug from me!

Wow! Patches got HUGE! He fits his name so well too! What a cutie! I'd love to throw my arms around him and hug and kiss him! Having had way too much experience with hospitals and nursing homes, I see for myself how residents respond to dogs! How awesome that your dad is taking him to work. I think Patches will make a great therapy dog. He's too beautiful for words!

Thanks everyone! He sure is handsome :love: I can't believe I have to wait till next summer to see him :( I'm really glad my dad ended up deciding to bring him to work most days. I guess he is learning his manners (not getting to excited when residents pet him, being gentle, etc).

loveofallhorses... The mother and the (assumed) father were given up to a rescue, and mom started showing symptoms of pregnancy! The assumed dad was adopted and the mom was being fostered with her pups by my dad's friend.:)
