We lost Pepsi...

Well, Pepsi passed away this afternoon. I guess I should have known it was coming, seeing as he was nearly 7 years old, but...gah.

I don't even know what to say. Pepsi was the first pet who was really MINE, who I had sole responsibility over. At nine years old, I learned how to take care of and respect a living creature. As much as I complained about having to give baths, clip nails, and clean cages...I never regretted a moment of it.

I guess I should be glad that Pepsi passed peacefully, and be happy for him that he's finally reunited with his best friend, Buddy. The two of them were my first ever experience with guinea pigs, and I thank them both for helping me grow in the ways that they did.

Goodbye, Pepsi. I'm gonna miss ya.

I'm so sorry to hear about Pepsi. Piggies are wonderful. . .I wish I could have one now! But 7 years together is beautiful and it should lessen the loss to know that you had that time together - he had a wonderful home and you had a lovely friend.

thanks, everyone. Strangely, I'm not sad about it. I do miss him a LOT, and it's weird to not hear him running around in his cage, but I'm not really sad.
