Two fleas!

Last year at this time the backyard was covered with ticks. UGH!

My brother's dogs were here and they were covered in ticks, I got them flea collars, which my brother took off of them because they were HIS dogs and it embarrassed his nasty soul that someone else was taking care of them.

I would walk outdoors to get my laundry and they were so bad that they would jump on my feet as I went by. I scubbed the brick down with water and bleach, put out D-earth and kept sweeping.

So far I have seen two fleas this year.

I am so happy and pleased about that. I was afraid they would come back this year, full force, I know it's early and I hope it last all year long!!!:)

Does your brother know his dogs can die with the ticks :confused::mad:

I was thinking that too Sonia, not to mention the fact that ticks can make a Dog's life pure hell!
I am glad that there were only Two Fleas, we hope taht they were not on Our Friend the Edster!:love::love:

I dust them twice a week with a natural flea powder and they are groomed as the eat.

I also bleach down the patio where they hang out.

When the dogs were here there were infestations twice a year-spring and fall, two fleas is NOTHING compared to what I saw before.

My brother collects animals and does the minimum to care for them.

Part of the problem was his bird collection. He'd never bother to clean under the cages so there was a rat problem in the yard. They are gone too so that is another reason I haven't seen the tick/flea problem this year-Thank god!:eek:

:) Nothing personal Richard = But it sounds if your brother needs a good kick in the butt.. He needs to take care of his animals better than that..

That is a story within itself.

He is my brother, but I just came to the realization that he is a bully and a person who cannot be told what to do or how to do it.

He's out of my hair and I am a better person because of that.:(:o:eek:

I slept in a little today and Toonces was at the screen door asking where the morning buffet was.

It was funny, they know which buttons to push.;)
