RIP Scarlett the Mama Cat Hero...

I just read somewhere that Scarlett, the mama cat that rescued all of her babies one at a time from a house fire, passed away. She was a true animal hero. She took one baby at a time, crossed the street away from the building that was on fire and saved their lives. She was very badly burned on her face and ears, but was treated and survived. She was adopted by one of the firefighters that was called to the fire.

RIP sweet mama. You've done wonderful, girl. Now go to the RB and play hard with MooShoo, Mollie Rose and Casey "Bubba Dude". There's a huge fish awaiting you on the other side, and all the catnip you could ever want.

Awwww.. I remember when that happened. Scarlett was indeed a true hero, rescuing all her babies.

Rest in peace, dearest kitty girl. You have done very well! God bless you.

Scarlett died in October 2008. Here is an article about her. She lived for 12 years after the fire.
