OMG She sounds so awful! She's all congested and coughing/sneezing. I know the antibiotics can take a day or two to kick in, but she's miserable! What can I do to make her more comfortable? Poor baby!

Aww! You and her in the bathroom, shut the door and run the shower really hot. The steam should help.
If she sleeps with you, can you run a vaporizer with some Vicks or tea tree oil in it, bedroom door closed?
Poor wittle girl! I hope she is better soon!
Yup, I got the place all nice & steamy - boiling water in the kitchen and running a hot bath in the bathtub and letting the steam heat blast away. She's settled down a bit now - I think she's just glad that meowmie is home - I feel awful leaving her all alone to go to work when she's sicky like this - very glad to have a three-day weekend coming up to spend time coddling her.
I'm sorry to hear that she's still so sick.:( Hopefully the medicine will kick in soon and start making her feel better. In the past I've done the bathroom steam thing and also the vaporizer. I never really noticed much difference though because my cats became stressed out in the bathroom and wouldn't go near the vaporizer. If she ends up getting worse during the long weekend then you can always call an ER vet clinic for advice. I'll send some prayers and positive thoughts her way. Please take care keep us updated about her.
Poor Marbles! I can't remember my kitties ever having a cold. I hope she gets better, and I am so glad you will be with her this 3 day weekend. Keep us posted!
Aw, poor little kittle. If you can manage it, you can squirt some poor saline solution in her nose. I did this for Pidge once per my vet's instructions and it does help but they become squirmy worms when anything is squirted in their little noses.
She's a squirmer! Sneezing a lot, eyes are a teeny bit better. Wish I didn't have to go to work so I could stay home and nurse her
If you have any chlorpheniramine tablets (JUST chlorpheniramine, not mixed with anything else) you can grind up a little piece of one (say 1/6 of a 4 mg tab), dissolve in water, mush into a bit of stinky wet food, and offer her that. It's been proven safe for cats.
Love, Columbine
Poor widdle wiggly Marbles. Get better little one.
Gold seal nose drops(you have to make them yourself)open up the sinuses and reduce the swelling of the membranes. Also, if Marbles cannot smell her food, chicken baby food may entice her to eat. I used the vaporizer, too, and found it helpful. Poor little girl!!! GET WELL SOON!!!!
Get well soon, Miss Marbles! *kiss*
How is squiggly Marbles today? :)
Have any of you actually had success trying to give a kitty nose drops or spray? LOL - what a squirmy little worm - I got more saline on me than in her nose.
She turned her nose up at warm chicken broth, ate the tuna and sneezed a lot yesterday; she's MUCH better today. Eyes still a bit leaky, but sneezing less and looks perkier.
I tried to give her some GOOD food - So now Felidae and Evo are (again) on the do-not-buy list. Mitzi didn't like those either. Does anyone's cat like the pate style food? None of my cats have ever liked that stuff.
Glad to hear the meds and a meowmie's love are working! Give Squiggly Girl a hug for me!
