Mom's in hospital ... update #11: she's at the bridge
So I travel back to Fayetteville twice this week. I was leaving this morning when she turned worse, but I had to go back to do stuff at home and for work. I leave again Very Late Thursday or Early Friday.
I just got a call from my brother. The nurse had him move up the doctor meeting to Thursday so it does not look hopeful.
PLease keep us in your thoughts and prayers
mom's at the rainbow bridge
Mom passed quickly and peacefully Thursday evening after being removed from support. She had lived with Lupus for 50 years and it was only the last 10 years that saw any major complications. She still had plenty of fight left but her body gave out. The funeral is planned for Monday.
She's now at the Rainbow Bridge with Molly, Meghan, Fala, Danny and Bridey, her Scotties and with the cats, Silver, Sam, Thomasino, Wendell, Rabbi, Ollie, Felix, Maggie, Lucky, Frances, Sunshine I and Sunshine II, Mike, Tillie, and probably a few others I can't remember. She is survived by the three of us and Louie, the tuxie polydactyl, and Fred, the cross-eyed Mackerel.
A call from my brother Thursday morning changed my plans and I had to head back to Fayetteville. I dumped everything back in the car and headed back. I've never packed so fast.
So I'm back in Fayetteville and I find "Interesting" that my own home is snowed in as well as my childhood home. It's never happened in both places when I was away from my current home.
The cats are in a boarding facility (a local store that boards) so they wouldn't be alone and would be warm. I didn't want them turning feral and freezing. For the three of them boarding isn't too much more than a cat-sitter. The owner has them in a huge cage in the open so they get lots of love. Some patrons wanted to adopt them, esp Lady Jane, because they are so precious.
