Hello Highway! What a good looking kitty you are!:love:
Meowmie, you must fill us in on the name...............we can only imagine.
He is an awesome kitty, he will be four years old on St. Patrick's day, well that is the b-day we gave him, lol, ok so the story goes like this....
A friend and I were on our way home from another friends house, who lives out in the country, we are driving down the road and I see what appears to be apiece of tire rubber on the road, told my friend nott o run over it and as we pass the "rubber", for some weird reason I just happen to look down and the "rubber" moved, my friend screeches to a halt and I run back, it is a tiny baby black kitten, he couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 weeks old, anywayz, he had a bloody nose and hide had been peeled off his face, someone had thrown him out the window of thier car and it couldn't have been tooo far in front of us, we flipped a u-turn and raced back to the vet hospital about 10 miles back and had him checked out, vet said he was clear, no fluid in his lungs no broken bones just the scratch on his face, well I brought him home as my friend is allergic to cats, I had him all ready to go to a vet tech friend of mine to find a home, the b/f said he didn't want the kitten going anywhere til he could eat, poo on his own, he still wanted to nurse, (the vet aged him at 8 weeks, but I don't think so, lol) on the third day he got up, meowed for food and went poop in his litter box for the first time, I called the b;/f and told him and he said we could keep him, so he found his home with us. I had him nuetered and micrchipped, he thinks he is a 12lb pit bull, lol, he even rides int he car like a dog, lol
Oh, my, Highway! What a great rescue story! You are so handsome and your coat looks so shiny and soft. I would love to gently pet you. Maybe your mum will do that for me today. Happy Sunday, sweety!

Aw, a great rescue story w/a happy ending. I love it! Ya gotta love blackies. My blackie Boo is 18 now and I just placed a rescue blackie who appears to be under a year old in a wonderful home just before Christmas. They're so special. (Ok, they all are but you know what I mean. LOL) :)
It looks like he is no longer a tiny, black, kitten. Must be all the good love and care he is getting from you! How lucky both of you are to have found each other!
What a great story and such a nice happy ending to this chapter!
LOVE a blackie! The biggest lovie bug I ever had was a blackie. I miss that cat every day.:(
What a story! What a lucky kitty. Someone was looking out for that tiny baby, that's for sure.
Thanks Medusa, I am blessed to have had that weird feeling to look, lol, he is an awesome cat, and the blackies are more special I think cause most people are afraid of them, lol.
lol no he's not, when I found him his whole body and head fit int he palm of my hand, need to find those pics, ;)
Thanks phesina :D
You know I think so too orangemm, I saw two kittens and what appeared to be the momma cat further up the road when he left the vet's office, poor guy, but he made it and is a very cool cat :D Thank you
Hey there, Highway! Welcome to PT! You're a very handsome kitty boy and it's easy to see why your Meowmie is so in love with you. I'm sure you already know how fortunate you are to have found the purrfect furever home. You're going to be loved and cared for more than you ever imagined.
Hi fellow Meowmie! Thank you so much for helping Highway get the medical attention he needed and caring enough to give your beautiful boy love, care, and the pampered life every kitty deserves. Could I ask you to give him lots of scritchies and lovies for me?
What a heartwarming story and a very lucky boy too.:) He sure is a handsome boy.:) My RB Pepper was also a very large black cat and I adopted him when he was 8-9weeks old. I counted back the weeks and I also decided to celebrate his b-day on St. Patrick's Day.:) He was my gentle giant and I still miss him. I also consider black cats to be good luck.:)
Oh Highway what a black beauty you are, i adore blackies too having one of my own,ok she has one tiny white spot on her chest, but that is all, Welcome to PT Highway, we hope to hear a lot more about you, thanks for sharing .Did you know if a black cat crosses your path it is considered good luck in NZ and Britain i believe, so black cats are lucky here, and i hope Highway brings you a ton of good luck.:)
Highway says thank you so much momcat, :D And I am such a softie for the underanimal, he didn't deserve what he got but I am super happy he is with us and of course I can give him all the scritches and lovies from you, he would like that :D
Oh wow what a cool thing Krazy, I can't imagine me not having a black cat, hugs for your loss, and with his b-day being on St. Patricks day and me finding him he is a total good luck figure :D
lol about the white spot Carole, she is still a blackie, I will have to find some more pics of him, I posted his intro thread int he cat breed section, but I can repost it here, lol, thanks Carole :D
