Callie if my old eyes are not playing tricks on me , you have some Maine Coon in your heritage , as you have the plush fur and that ruff around your neck as well.
Of course we cant see how big you are , but you look like a very good size Cat, a Gentle Giantess whos heart is as big as her frame.

We are glad that you decided to move in with your Family and give them the experience of your greating hunting skills, its not every Cat who can bring fresh meat to the table.
They may not dine on your prey, but your Family certainly appreciates the thought I am sure.

What a sweet Callie you have and bless you for taking her in. I have to say that I am against letting cats out unsupervised - we keep our dogs safe by not doing that (they are either on a leash or in a fenced in backyard). As a volunteer for a few cat rescue groups & shelters the numbers of cats we have seen hit in the street is horrible and heartbreaking. And the wildlife (fox, coyote, etc.) are starting to make our residential areas their home because we are taking their land away from them. Also, equally tragic, neighbors are not always happy about cats killing birds (they probably don't mind so much about the mice though) and I know that we have had many situations where neighbors have poisoned cats to stop them from killing birds. Very sad - I know it is sort of part of nature - but bottom line is we love our cats, we domesticated them and just like our dogs, we need to keep them safe. We don't open our doors and let the dogs run free so I believe we should not do that with an even smaller animal who can not be seen running in front of a car, especially at night. Not meant to offend, just to protect and avoid the horrible sadness that comes when we lose our beloved furry family. I will never forget losing two of my cats when I was a little girl because they got hit by cars.
