so hurt that he could not be saved, yet he gladly jumped into this couple's

Rest in peace, dear boy. I am sorry you only knew pain and suffering, until the very end. No animal deserves the life of fear, hunger and anguish. I hope you felt the love of the couple whose car you were in, and that some day you will meet them, tail wagging and healthy, at the Rainbow Bridge.
I hope they find those responsible, take their remaining dogs away, and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
Wow... Poor guy. I'm sure the kindest thing that happened to him in his WHOLE life was the couple stopping to pick him up.
