OS Poll.

What Operating System do you use?

Im switching over to Ubuntu, a Linux OS, from XP Pro. Ive used XP Pro for many years now and Ubuntu is, for the most part, a very easy switch.

I hated Vista, Win7 is cool but Ubuntu uses less resources and is even easier to setup with a few exceptions.

I have a few things to work out and when I do Ill swap my main computer to Ubuntu.

So what do you use?

Mac osx 10.4.11

It all depends.

Home- Vista......pretty but I'd hate to see it running on a slower machine than what I have....resource hog is an understatement.

Also Mac OS-X.

Work? Various flavors of Winbloze and Linux.

I made the poll multi choice for a reason.

I voted XP and Vista, because my home system is XP and my laptop is Vista.

My answer is fairly apparent.

Mac OS X on my current computer.
My backup computer still has Windows XP. I am not a fan of Vista.

Home computer is XP/Linux Fedora (dual Boot)
laptop is Linux
Home Theater is XP Media Edition 05

I love Vista, I have no idea why so many people complain about it. Not one problem!

I think that OSU will have a good season this year.

I have the Vista and I hate it! Daughter has it too and don't like it! They made things so much more complicated than it needs to be!!!

Mac OS 10.5.7

We use both XP and Ubuntu. Everytime we try to make the switch to Linux permanent - there is *something* that just doesn't quite work right - presently it is World of Warcraft. It just does not work as well on linux - yet anyway. Eventually we hope to abandon windows completely.

WIN7 RC. Will install RTM code when we get home.

Loving Win 7. Microsoft finally got it right. Of course, it will still pale to the "Unix/Linux" world... But my business needs to actually make money... LOL

But, the next computer will be a Mac... And run parallels.
