Hmmmm.....well I only have a girl cat now. :( And if you see her in the second picture I posted in my most recent picture thread you see she is slightly lifting her left paw in anticipation of attacking the camera cord. But I will also test this theory and also with the doggies. :D

Oscar and I "hold paws" - and he uses his left mostly.

If Cole is getting petted, and I stop - he will lift his velvet foot and tap me. Again, the left.

Very interesting.:) I'll have to test my cats out to see if this is true with them. My brother is left handed and it did mention that most left handed people are males. My current roommate is a female and she's also left handed.

I never really paid attention but I sure will now and get back to you. :)

I've only had 2 female cats, and I really can't remember which paw they favored. My male RB Meezer Ming was most definitely a lefty. I always said he packed a mean left punch, but again, I don't recall what my other males were.
I'm going to have to check my son's girls to see which they use. :)

Well I have sum screwed up guys. The boys - Mits, Demetri and Lucky are righty's, Bart, Bailey, Ches are lefty. The girls - Princess Sweety and Boots are right, but Penny and Precious are left.

Havoc seems to be a lefty. Toby doesn't appear to favor one side or the other.

Thats interesting and surprising! Which means both my girls are righties. I thought Pecan was both because she uses them both equally and Blackberry was just a rightie. ;) But thanx for telling me all this good information because now I know that Pecan is actually only a rightie!!!!! :)

Wellllllll... I just saw my fur-nephew Milo, who appeared to me right-pawed, but he was playing with his favorite toy with all four of his paws. I've always sort of figured Cassie for a lefty, but maybe that's because I am a lefty too. I'll have to watch her more closely. I know for sure she approaches her food bowls from the right.

Only on PT could this conversation happen. :D Calvin just came up to me and tapped me...with his LEFT paw! So he's definately consistant. I started to wonder if there are more human lefties than before since schools have relaxed and not forced lefties to write with their right hand. Interesting. My brother is a leftie. All my sisters are righties...me too.
