Confused Cookie
This morning when we were out for our morning walk, Cookie ran off and I couldn't find her anymore. She was nowhere to be found, didn't respond to my calling or my whistling.
About 10 minutes later a friend came to the dog park with Cookie on a leash. She found Cookie very confused and disordered near her house.
Cookie looked like she had no clue where she was and what to do next. She also didn't seem to recognize my friend (whom she knows ever since we go to the dogpark) and was very scared.
Also at home she often searches for me. If I'm not on my 'usual' spots like behind my desk or 'my chair', she won't see me at all and keeps on searching if I don't call for her.
I have often noticed that Cookie doesn't really hears that well, not like as in a stubborn way but simply because she doesn't hear it.
She also only recognizes me when I'm like 6 feet away from her. Otherwise she just looks around for anyone else she recognizes.
I'm very worried about this, and won't let her go off leash anymore.

Oh poor Cookie!! How old is she?? Is this a "senior" moment type problem?

Oh, poor Cookie! I can certainly understand you're worried! Perhaps you should take her to the vet and have her checked. I hope nothing serious is wrong!! Good luck with her!! :)

Cookie is 14 months old now. Still a pup actually.

Poor Cookie, she must have been so scared, she's only a pup? I wonder what the deal is. When was she taken away from her mother?

Brigette, get her to the vet for an ear appointment. Hopefully they can determine if she is having hearing problems.
Poor Cookie. Sounds like she was terrified. :( Give her a hug for me please and tell her Dusty will keep her safe if he ever meets her! He discovered he loves the girls!!
