Meezers and Mice photos
I found some photos of my cats Milly and Izzy meeting their mouse sisters for the first time.
We have been very careful to keep the mice in a separate room from the cats and only allow supervised visits for a minute or two when the mice are out in their balls to get their cage cleaned.

When we clean the mouse cage, the mice get to roll around in the sunroom while the cats cat watch them through the kitchen door.
Milly asking if we could open the door so she could go play with the mice.

That's all the photos.
We are very careful to make sure the cats don't try to hurt the mice.
Unfortunately since I took these photos last fall, one of the mice, Squeaky got sick and went to the Rainbow Bridge in Feb. but Squonky is still doing well.

I'm sorry to read about Squeaky's passing. I don't know how long mice live but I'm sure he had a good life w/you. The pix of your two meezers are beautiful, as usual. :)

This was so cute to look at! I was laughing and saying "Awwwww!".. Those balls had to confuse the kitties.... was this a TOY or FOOD? I am still in awe everytime I see those two beauties of yours and always think how lucky you (and they) were to find them.... and glad we get to see them...

Years ago when I had only 4 cats (Peeka, Boo, Pidge and Puddy), I heard paws scuffling in the middle of the night. I thought they were just playing but it went on for a little too long and I became irritated and got up to investigate. They had a poor baby mouse encircled (that's how they got the name of Fur Posse) and were batting it back and forth. They had no intention of killing it; they just wanted to play w/it. I picked the mouse up but he wriggled out of my hand, Boo snatched him and had the entire mouse in his mouth except for the tail. I cornered Boo in my bathroom, got the mouse out of his mouth and took it outside and held him for a few seconds. The poor thing was breathing so heavily. I gently placed him in the yard and he was too scared to run! So I can only imagine what my Fur Posse would do now if they saw a mouse in a ball. It would be real chaos around here.

Little Squeaky is an Animal Angel now, and is enjoying himself as there are many Herbivore Angels and the Animal Angel Army Restaurant Scouts make sure that theres an excellent Salad Bar or Vegetarian or Vegan optipns before they OK a place to eat.

Thanks for the nice replies everyone.:)
Milly really has a strong prey drive, she was a great hunter at her former home so we have to be extra careful with her. Izzy is more mellow and will sit back and watch the mice from a distance. I will add more photos of her to this thread later when I get a chance to go through my photos.
