Little Guy went home
My friend said goodbye to her 10 year companion Little Guy. He was suddenly stricken w/hemolytic anemia on Friday and by yesterday he made his trip to the Bridge. This 12 year old "mutt" (never liked that term; this boy was a prince) was rescued at the age of 2 and given to his human as a gift by her best friend. He was the friendliest, sweetest, gentlest dog ever. I never even heard him bark. He made many a long distance trip w/his human, Sandi Jo, who is an independent truck driver. Sadly, the trip he made yesterday was his last. He shared a home w/5 other dogs who are going to miss him terribly as will those who love him. RIP, sweet Little Guy and peace to your loved ones. I mourn your passing as if you were my own. A candle burns in your memory. :(
ETA: Because Sandy Jo is a new member, she isn't able to post photos yet so I am posting them here. Now you all can see what a special boy Little Guy was. Love you, LG.

RIP Little Guy, and have fun at beautiful RB. Candles burn to light your way. :)
Mary - I had no idea that something could strike so fast and be so deadly.
Hugs to you and Sandi.

I'm sorry for your friend Mary.:( It sounds like Little Guy had an interesting life, traveling the country.
May he run free at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm sure Little Guy will watch over Sandi Jo on all of her journeys from now on.
RIP Little Guy

Rest in Peace Little Guy :( I have a feeling that you're leading a parade at the bridge right now.:) Play hard!
Mary, I never liked the word "mutt" either.

So sad :( I hope Little Guy's passing was a smooth one and that Sandi Jo always feels him in her heart.
