We all understand money doesn't grow on trees. So as wolf_Q said, if you dont want to spend the time or money on the cards for everyone, simply request a copy of the list so you can choose your close friends.

I agree - it wouldn't feel very nice at all, so I voted with #1. That way there isn't really any confusion. I have submitted my name for both email and snail mail, and I will send snail mail to everyone on that list (I will find a way to afford it! :p ) and an ecard to everyone on the email list, unless it's a duplicate from the snail mail list. If there are special people on here you want to send a real card to, why not contact them personally and explain you can't afford or don't have time for the lists? No one here would be bitter about that; we all understand money situations! :D But that way, a name won't show up on a list who isn't able to send anything.
