Knitted Kitten
My friends birthday is this weekend and since I'm jobless and broke I can't really afford to buy her anything. I found some leftover black and white yarn and decided to knit her a cat that looked like her own kitty Rufus. Thankfully she is the type that loves and appreciates home made gifts!
Here is mini Rufus

How CUTE!
Could you knit a few more critters and share a cheap table rental with a friend at a flea market or something?
You could at least make a few dollars. AND second hand shops often get donations of yarn, and might even give some away if you tell them what is happening.
Your friend will LOVE it! Hope we get pics of Rufus's reaction.:)

My sister keeps trying to convince me to sell my knitted items on etsy and I have thought about it. The main problem is that knitting is time consuming, so if I sold my items at what I thought would be a fair price I'd only be making about $1-$2 an hour not including the cost of yarn. For a hobby I love to hand dye yarns, that would actually be profitable so I am really considering setting up a shop on etsy with my hand dyed yarns.
The good news is that I have an interview tomorrow! I know that if I get it I won't be making as much as my previous job, but I'll have some income and can afford to buy yarn to dye and sell. I would love it if I could make some extra money selling yarn.
