My Human
The author of this is unknown (at least to me), but I thought it was incredibly sweet. :)
My Human
My human thinks I'm a dog. I stare through the picket fence, watch
dogs trotting on leads, snuffling at the pavement, obedient,
obsequious.
I meow.
My human thinks I'm a dog. She walks me on a harness. She says the
red colour shows off my green eyes, complements my blue-grey fur.
I hide.
My human thinks I'm a dog. I climb trees; she pulls me down. I chase
birds; she tugs the lead. I crunch grasshoppers; she frowns. I bolt
home; she says 'sit'.
I yowl.
This morning when I wake she grooms me with a brush, strokes me,
exclaims
'there are rainbows in your fur. You are my lovely cat'.
I purr.

Thanks for sharing, Logan!! :) I was just thinking something like that today... Sirocco was sleeping in a basket (must take photos of that!!) and I couldnīt resist and started stroking him and then I thought - what must he be thinking every time he receives this kind of adoration? Yes, adoration is the word for me!! :) Some of you may understand what Iīm talking about... ;)

I absolutely understand, Nita!!! :) I stroke, Butter bites me.....but Mimi just purrs. I'm glad I have one good one in the bunch!! And Butter has become such good entertainment......especially with Scott. He is the "butt" of many jokes, but we all love him dearly. :p

Yes....I completely adore all three of the furfaces...even if they don't want me to all the time. Noel is a bit of a Princess and doesn't always want our love... :D

:D
Yes, they all have their own way to accept our tribute... :)
Neelix is the biting one here - he gets excited too soon and starts biting and playing rough. But heīs got his own sweet moments... every time I sit on the couch or lay on the bed he comes and finds the most comfortable position by my side, starts purring and... drooling!! :)
Sirocco is the aloof type, and doesnīt find that all this adoration and caressing ritual goes with him all the times. He can just stand up and walk away... but when he feels like it, starts purring very softly and allows me to entertain a complete stroking session!!
Those special moments are always so peaceful - I think thatīs one of the reasons I love them soo much (donīt we all do? :) )
