Kia and Chipper go camping

These were taken back in July. Not sure why I never got around to posting them. Sheer laziness I guess. :o

Anyway, Kia had been camping before but it was Chipper's first time in a tent. He did remarkably well. Kia got the privelage of staying in the camper with my parents. ;)

We also introduced Chipper to the 'big water' aka Lake Huron. He did not care for it at all. Kia was in doggy heaven though. So it seems I only have one water crazed dog. We did a lot of hiking and biking, but for some reason I didn't get a lot of photos of that. Ah well... next time.

Not sure what his mix is. Best the vet can figure is German Shepherd and Basenji. Probably some shar pei thrown in. He definitely has the Basenji hatred of water (which includes mud puddles, wet grass, and rain). He'll willingly go into the small pond at the dog park but only up to his belly. And that's only if there is a dog in the water that he absolutely MUST play with. Other than that, he steers clear.

D'aww, it's my favorite Ki and Chips! They look like they had fun, I absolutely love the picture of Andy and Chipper sleeping in as well as the smoochie face! :love:

And wow, looking at these pictures NOW, makes me c-c-c-cold! LOL.

Great pictures of your trip, Kimmy! Looks like Chipper doesn't think the beach is the place to camp. Kia, however, seems to have had a great time!

AWw, that looks like you guys had so much fun!! I miss camping. Hopefully next year we can get out and do some. Of course it wouldn't be in such a nice place though! :p

I wish it were the ocean. Might of been warmer then. LOL! That's one of Michigan's Great Lakes. :D

I know I sure wasn't going to go swimming there. Way to freaking cold for my skinny body!!! I had a lot of fun on that trip otherwise, though. Yes, Chipper does hate the water which is why Kim liked throwing him in the Great Lake there. (Because secretly she likes being mean to him I think). I tried to protect him from the cold water but nooooooooo, Kim must get him soaked. I feel so bad for him. All I could do is be on the shore taking video and pictures of him being tortured. :p
