Awww, man! I HOPE someone fosters him soon! Do what jenluckenbach did - staple tarp sheeting on your floor and up the walls a couple of inches! Easy to clean!
Poor baby!
CC - do you mean he had a gun pellet lodged somewhere (bladder, urethra) and it came out - and now he's just leaking?
PRAYERS for that dear face!
He had a pellet in or near his spine, which apparently shifted and is now aggravating the nerve/s to his bladder. :(
They're keeping him in a tiled bathroom, but "he's damaging the tiles."
Whoever THEY is, can they not get a cheap tarp to put over the tiles? weigh it down with rocks in the corners if they have to!
"They" are the "adopters," and I understand they don't want to mess with poor Sherbet at all. They want him gone ASAP. I'm sure they could get a tarp, but I'm more sure they won't.
Is there a posibility that the pellet can be removed.
GILL - the answer is in part of the post on HP:I don't think the adopters would want to pay for any surgery...this little guy is "ruining the tiles" in their bathroom.:mad:Quote:
A sweet, sweet boy was driven from CA to NJ for a new home. En route, somehow a pellet he was toting moved (guessing here), allowing "pee to just run out of him." He currently living in a bathroom but is in dire need of another, less lonely circumstance, along with possible testing and/or surgery. At this point, it's almost anybody's guess what's going on, but he must be a real cutie to have put up with SO much. Can anybody foster on an emergency basis? The people that took him don't want him.
You got it--they want him GONE. We're trying to find a safe place for him to go, then maybe the pellet can come out, or whatever. Whatever happened supposedly happened during the trip, and I can only figure that the pellet moved just enough...
Edits didn't stick, but I just wanted to say that I fear greatly for this sweet boy's life. He'd last about 10 minutes at AC, and I don't think there's been any response from vets who were emailed yesterday re: boarding him for a little while.
If I had the money and the "drive gene" I'd be sorely tempted for Ari & I to just go up yonder and get him!!!!:mad:
:(
What about the place the 'owners' got him from? :(
Well, they're in CA. They have a representative in the group trying to place him, but I guess they don't have $700 to bring him back. :(
Well, the current thought is that he might come here, if we can get him here. SCI boy #3--how about that!!
How far away are you from him? I wonder if the "owners" or a friend of theirs would meet you part way?
I guess the CA people haven't found anyone?
Are there any PTrs in NJ?
PT Prayers for this little guy!
We're in VA. I drive, but I'm not "a driver;" it's been years since I drove more than 10 miles from home! I've heard he's in northern NJ, but I have NO clue how far away he is. A friend from VetPet has offered to start him on his way, by road or air, if he can get to her--75 miles away (must be near Newark--that's the airport she said).
Poor, dear, sweet Buddy, SCI boy #1, couldn't make it long-term, but, luckily, he left plenty of meds and experience in his wake.
Any word on this poor baby?
