To solve the plural problem, how about The Parish Family?;)
Assuming your last name is Parish, it should read "The Parishes'." With an apostrophe at the end, as it is actually stating that you are belonging to the Parish family.
Technically, it should be written " The Parishes' " BUT I like what Kim suggested, The Parish Family.
Mine reads " The Laynes' " and its cute, made by my cousin for a wedding gift, but I want one that says Layne Family, with kitties around it;)
Our Family sign just has the family name on it. No plurals, apostrophes, etc.
Sort of like this, except ours does NOT have the house number, that is a whole different sign.

I was thinking the same as Kim said. The Parish Family. You do not need to worry about the "s" issue. :)
I like "The Parish Family".
How about "Parish the Thought"? *ducks to avoid heavy object being thrown* :p:D
The Parish Family
I thought of one negative to "The Parish Family" being the sign. Church communities are often referred to a parishes, and someone might think this meant it was the parsonage for the nearest church!
I don't think either are correct....but, my english teacher is in a staff meeting right now.
