Spam Alert!!!
For those of you who have Comcast as an IP, be on the lookout for an email from [email protected] as it is SPAM and should be deleted immediately.
I got it this morning and they're telling people they need your name, screenname and password along with birth date to update their files. They tell you that if you do NOT do this, your service will be suspended temporarily.
I called Comcast and alerted them and they said to delete it and thanked me for alerting them.
What caught my attention was the "edu" part.

That's a classic phishing scheme if I ever saw one! I'm so paranoid and suspicious that when someone claiming to be DirecTV left me a message to update my credit card I actually called the number on my bill, not the one they left on the answering machine. The biggest problem is that they use different phone numbers. I don't know why they do that; it just makes it harder to verify that they are legit.

Like I told the guy at Comcast, I was born at night but it wasn't LAST NIGHT.

I have comcast so thanks for alerting me. I don't fall for any of these kind of e-mails any way. I recently decided to close my paypal account and now I've been receiving fake e-mails telling me that it's been flagged because some one's been trying to use it. It's so hard to trust any one these days.
