Tucker 1983 - 8-1-08
It is with great sadness in my heart but I made the decision to let Tucker take her last journey and has arrived safely at the Rainbow Bridge. She was 24 years old.
Tucker came into my life in 1995 on a very cold winter evening. She wanted nothing to do with coming inside so I set her up a large cardboard box with down blankets inside it and drapped some weather protection over the box so she could stay dry. She like her "new digs" and stayed with us for 3 months, until the morning of Christmas 95 when she decided to see if life was better somewhere else. Well 4 months later (on my birthday), here came Miss Tucker trotting up the driveway to our house.....and she never left. I guess the grass was greener with us.
She endured her many brothers and sisters the best she could, afterall, she was getting older and, I have to be honest, getting very cranky as she aged, but don't we all get cranky as we get older (at least that's what we told her).
She was the softest, fluffiest baby I ever had. You could run your fingers through her fur and just get lost in it. She loved her daddy, drinking milk from the cereal dish and just loved to be outside either hunting or just sleeping.
Tucker, you gave daddy and I 13 wonderful years, we only wish we could have had all 24 of your years with us and we will miss you dearly. Please come back and visit me in my dreams and please know that I love you very much. I am so sorry that I had to break my promise to you and you had to endure one last car ride but you handled yourself like a proper lady and I know in my heart that it was the right thing to do for you.
Here are a few favorite pictures of Tucker.

Bless her little heart. Rest in peace little one and please let you mom and dad know you are safe and happy.
24 years is an amazing life for a cat and the last 13 have been her best I'm sure. You'll miss this little girl for a long time:( but she will always remain in your heart.
Hugs, Betty

So sorry to hear about Tucker's passing. She lived a long life full of love.
Go find my Tazzer up there at the Bridge, Tucker Marie. He's a big, handsome gray and white tuxie just like you! He loved to play outside, so he'll be a good buddy to have up there!
Check in on your mom and dad and let them know you're doing well, because they will be missing you so much. Sleep softly, sweet one.

I am so sorry to hear of Miss Tucker. She was a beautiful girl, and sort of our unoffiical mascot. For my kitty household anyway. Run and play at the bridge sweet girl.

I'm sorry for you loss.
As I did the same with my Daniela last friday, I understand how hard it is...
I'm sure what we did is the right thing to do - it does not make it any easier.
Rest in Peace sweet Tucker. Search for Daniela - she also just arrived at the bridge. Both of you will be greatly missed.:(

As Gary said - nearly one quarter of a century - amazing!! She left having been loved and lavished the last 13 years. Can't ask for much more than that.
Play hard at the Bridge, Tucker.
