Brainstorm/Ideas please! for important meeting re: Pet Resume service
OK, the Purrfect Tenant Pet Resume site is up and running! www.prefurredpetresume.com
Someone I know mentioned this idea to her friend, the executive director of the Calgary Humane Society! The ED wanted me to call her - and when I did, she set up a meeting with me and her admissions manager.
The HS, in partnership with the Responsible Pet Owner's Association, has completed some of its goals: 1) cat licensing, where the fees went to pay for 2) low cost spay and neuter, which will be operating in January 2009.
3) is lobbying the provincial government to make it illegal for landlords to discriminate against people with pets/against the pets.
SO - the ED told me to contact several people in the RPOA: ARF, MEOW, and Bill Bruce. Bill is a tireless advocate of change for animals in the city, and is actually an Animal Bylaw head honcho.
I have a meeting with Bill Bruce on Saturday.:-D
Thus, this pet resume site is PERFECT timing, but WHAT DO I DO?
From a business angle, what should I ask for? Offer? Let them take the lead? This is a great opportunity; how do I make the most of it?
